The Cherry Red Records 4-CD set of the Reprise recordings from 1970-1973 is now available here at the FannyRocks On-line Store!
This set brings together the band’s four studio albums, plus many of the band’s single versions, B-sides, and vibrant live performances from the period while signed to Reprise Records. Each album will be on its own CD with extras included.
Alice is including her autograph as an option on this box set. You may order it with or without the autograph.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS BOX SET IS NOW SOLD OUT AT OUR STORE!
You may be able to find it on Amazon or similar websites.
Dam, I hate it when I’m late to the party. First Sixto Rodriguez and now Fanny. I wish I knew at the time. Fantastic players. Why they are not in the rock and roll hall of fame is mind boggling.
Rob, you are not too late. Apparently our store was having some issues. Try going to the product’s page again and if it still say it is out of stock, reload or refresh the page in your browser. It should say it is in stock. Keep me informed if you have problems. – Byron, website manager.
Byron – somehow i missed the news too, and can’t order the new boxset. I did order the Beat Club live set, and thanks for the heads up on that!! Can’t wait to hear it. Any idea when the new boxset will be back in stock? Thanks again…..
I know that I could order it on Amazon (it is in stock), but I’d much rather order it through you & get Alice’s autograph, again.
Well, I would have loved to get Alice’s autograph again, but it doesn’t look like this is coming back. Bummer.
🙁
And i don’t want to miss it on Amazon. Unless i hear otherwise, I’ll order it there over the weekend…..
Sorry for the late response, Roland, but we are out of stock of those CD sets now.
No worries. At least Amazon still had copies, so it’s on the way. Question- do you have an email list or subscribers for news like this? I would have jumped on it sooner if I had known….
Cheers,
Roland
This set is missing many of the great demos included in the previous boxset First Time In A Long Time. Do you know if that original box set will become available again, it seems to now be out of print? The demos are what I’m mostly interested in.
I’m sorry to say this, and I hate to never say never, but the Rhino box set that you mentioned will not be re-released. Rhino destroyed over 2,000 copies of the box set due to its perceived slow sales rate. They never gave Alice a chance to purchase the CDs as they most assuredly would have sold out by now.
Great set. This band was before my time, but as I musician I appreciate what they did. They did a ton of work in their short time if you add it all up! I tracked down that Rhino Handmade set on eBay awhile back when I learned they had sat on them rather than give you the unsold ones from years ago (definite short-sightedness!). Glad you got to produce some more of these though! And I’ll be picking up the Beat Club disc too, only I’ll do THIS one direct. Cheers! – Clint
